Sample report
What AI says about your business when you are not in the room.
A real AI Visibility Snapshot, run in September 2026 for a heating and air company in High Point. Names are changed. Every number is what we actually measured.
What we asked
Five questions a homeowner would actually type, run through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude with web search turned on. Two runs each, because AI answers vary. Forty answers in total for this city.
| The question | Northside named | Who came up instead |
|---|---|---|
| Best HVAC company in High Point NC | 0 of 8 | Competitor A in 7 of 8. Two other names rotated through the rest. |
| Who should I call for AC repair in High Point | 0 of 8 | Competitor A first in 6 of 8. Competitor B in 5. |
| Emergency furnace repair near High Point NC | 0 of 8 | Five different companies named. None of them this one. |
| Most trusted heating and air company in High Point | 0 of 8 | Competitor A in 6 of 8, usually described as highly rated. |
| Affordable HVAC replacement High Point NC | 0 of 8 | Competitor B led here. Competitor A still appeared in half. |
Why it is happening
It is not the reviews. With 272 at 4.98 they are rated as well as anyone in the county. AI assistants pull from a narrower set of sources than a search engine does, and they need plain answers to plain questions. Four observable gaps, no guessing.
One page for every service
Heating, cooling, maintenance, installs and emergency work all sit on one Services page. When an assistant looks for who does emergency furnace repair, there is nothing specific to point at.
No towns named anywhere
The site says "the Triad" and stops there. The competitor that came up in 25 of 40 answers names High Point, Jamestown, Archdale and Thomasville on its own pages.
No structured data
No schema markup telling a machine what kind of business this is, where it works, or when it is open. Every assistant was left to guess, and none of them guessed in their favor.
Thin outside their own website
Very little third-party presence. Assistants lean on directories, local roundups and mentions elsewhere to decide who is worth naming, and there was almost nothing to find.
What we would fix, in order
Ranked by what moves first, not by what takes longest. Expect 60 to 90 days before the numbers above start changing.
- A page per service, per townFurnace repair in Kernersville gets its own page. So does AC replacement in Winston-Salem. This is the single biggest lever and it is mostly writing.
- Answer the questions directlyReal questions with plain answers on the page. What does a new unit cost. How fast can you get here. Do you work weekends. AI quotes answers, not marketing copy.
- Structured data on every pageSchema markup for the business, the services, the service area, the hours, and the FAQs. Invisible to visitors, read by every assistant.
- Clean up the source listingsConsistent name, address, phone, hours, and categories everywhere AI is pulling from.
- Re-run this exact snapshot every monthSame five questions, same four assistants, same two runs, side by side with today. The query set never changes, or the trend means nothing.
